Last episode we kicked it off with a meet and greet with host Dave Swillum and a message about what we are about! In this episode we introduce Ryan Carrigan and go over his background and the decision to take your Wake Up From Work seriously.
What does it look like when you make the decision to go after your dream right now instead of thinking of it as a dream or a future possibility? What actions take place when your taking real action?
Ryan and I met in highschool doing slam poetry after we took a creative writing course together. We kept in touch as acquaintances while working through college and didn’t reconnect full on until 8 years later when Ryan reached out to connect on pro audio and how he could pursue his voice acting in a real way. After a deep dive discussion over drinks we woke up and started a podcast about the journey of going after what you really want in a real way.
Ryans Bio:
Ryan got a bachelors in psychology with a focus in cognitive psychology from Southern New Hampshire University and started a position in clinical psych as a mental health and substance abuse counselor. After some issues with the way the industry was conducted Ryan began pursuing a career voice acting while working his day job to help him fund the venture.
